Meghalaya, Shillong Lok Sabha Constituency Election 2024: Voting Date, Result Declaration, Candidates

The Election Commission of India, in March this year, unveiled the election schedule for the Shillong Parliamentary constituency.

The electoral process for the Lok Sabha Constituency (Shillong), one of the two constituencies in Meghalaya, will take place this year. The final timetable for voting and result declaration was disclosed by the Election Commission of India on March 16.

Voting Date for Shillong, Meghalaya Lok Sabha Election, 2024:

April 19 (Phase 1).

Result Declaration Date for Shillong, Meghalaya Lok Sabha Election 2024:

The date for counting and announcing results is June 4.

Shillong Constituency Lok Sabha Election, 2024:

The Lok Sabha Constituency Election (Shillong) of 2024 candidates nominated by major political parties and independents can now begin the nomination file process with the issuance of the election schedule. While some parties released their lists of candidates prior to the results being announced, others did so as the election progressed through its phases.

The candidate list will be continuously updated as candidates are announced.

Result of Shillong Constituency Meghalaya Election 2019:

With 419,689 votes, Vincent H. Pala of the INC won the Lok Sabha Shillong seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. With 267,256 votes, the UDP's Jemino Mawthoh won. The gap between Jemino Mawthoh and the winner was 152,433 votes.
