Bangladeshi National Lynched By Mob In Garo Hills, Meghalaya

A Bangladeshi national named Monirul Hussain, aged 43 was brutally beaten to death by locals near Purakhasia in the South West Garo Hills of Meghalaya for illegally entering India.

The incident took place in the late evening of May 1, according to reports. The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel had informed about the sightings of three people crossing the border during the night. However, they could not be found by the security forces, and they managed to make their way into Purakhasia. The locals caught Hussain and mercilessly thrashed him. The police source from West Garo Hills said that he suffered multiple injuries, including head injuries. They were able to take him out of the place and arranged for an ambulance to rush him to the Tura Civil Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries the next morning at around 7:40 AM.
