The temperature in Arunachal Pradesh varies according to the seasons. It is cold during winter and hot during summer, so one has to be prepared for either. In Tawang district which is a little north of Lakhimpur, it can get as cold as -15°c. Snowfall may also occur here from time to time
The temperature is moderate in summer, except for a few places which are very hot. The temperature in Dibang Valley district may even touch 45°c during this time of the year. However, it comes down considerably when the monsoon hits this part of India.
Arunachal Pradesh also gets heavy rainfall during the monsoon, which starts in June and ends in September. Winter is the best time to visit as there are fewer tourists around and the weather is pleasant.
